Children and families worked extremely hard to produce outstanding homework projects. Each class displayed children’s homework projects in combination with work studied in class. The Creative Curriculum really shone through as every curriculum area was displayed and celebrated. There were Empire Windrush ships designed by year 5; Viking ships and Roman masks from year 3; biographical work from year 6 and portraits from Nursery. Year 1 completed work around favourite places in the community and year 2 on ‘My Home’. Reception produced sketches from the visit to a local park, and year 4 on Villages. The Exhibition of work highlighted the excellent work that children have completed during this terms topic of ‘Our Community.’ St Gabriel’s College Steel band and the violin playing from our own children made the day extra special. International Day was a resounding success and a wonderful way to celebrate not only our community but also Black History Month.
